Obsessive doubts about wuḍūʾ — Ibn Bāz

Question

A questioner says: After I urinate — may Allah honour you — drops of urine come out of me for a few minutes and then stop. I put tissues inside the opening of the penis. Is what I am doing appropriate?

Answer

You should perform istinjāʾ [washing the private parts after relieving oneself] after urinating without hurrying, until the urine stops, and then complete the wuḍūʾ. There is no need to put tissues in the opening of the penis.

You should also turn away from the obsessive whisperings, until they stop for you, if Allah wills.

It is better to sprinkle water around the private parts after finishing wuḍūʾ, so that you can put down any whispering that may come to you to that. In this way, if Allah wills, this effect will leave you. Allah is the Granter of success¹.

السؤال

س: سائل يقول: بعد التبول -أعزكم الله- يخرج مني نقط من البول لمدة دقائق قليلة ثم ينقطع، وأعمل على وضع مناديل داخل فتحة الذكر فهل عملي مناسب؟

الجواب

ج: عليك أن تستنجى من البول، وعدم العجلة، حتى ينقطع البول، ثم تكمل الوضوء، ولا حاجة إلى وضع المناديل في فتحة الذكر.

وعليك أن تعرض عن الوساوس حتى ينقطع عندك ذلك إن شاء الله.

والأفضل: أن تنضح بالماء ما حول الفرج بعد الفراغ من الوضوء، حتى تحمل ما قد يقع من الوسوسة على ذلك، وبذلك ينتهي عنك إن شاء الله هذا الأثر، والله ولي التوفيق[1].
