Wuḍūʾ for someone with urinary incontinence
Question
A man with urinary incontinence says that when the prayer time comes in and he performs wuḍūʾ, no more than two drops of urine come out after the wuḍūʾ, and this troubles him.
Answer
If something comes out, he repeats the istinjāʾ [washing the private parts after relieving oneself] and repeats the wuḍūʾ, and he ignores the obsessive whisperings. He should not rush; he should first perform istinjāʾ. Once he has done so, he gets up, performs wuḍūʾ and ignores the whisperings. After the wuḍūʾ he washes the area around his private parts with water, so that he can put down any whispering that comes to him to this sprinkling. After that the matter will come to an end and leave him.
But if something does come out of him after that, he repeats the istinjāʾ and the wuḍūʾ, and washes whatever has got onto his garment or trousers. Then he ignores the whisperings and cuts them off, busies himself with his own affairs and turns away from them, so that the Shayṭān does not provoke him or toy with him. May Allah grant everyone success and guidance.
